Transport Tycoon Deluxe (or TTD) is an improved version of Transport Tycoon, a business simulation game developed by Chris Sawyer and published by MicroProse in 1995 for MS-DOS. A Windows version was released in 1996.
Following the success of Civilization, the company decided to create a new series in the realm of economic simulation. TTD was the second in the series and became more popular than the original Transport Tycoon. Chris Sawyer, that will become famous also for the RollerCoaster Tycoon series, designed and programmed the game.
In this managerial simulation players start out with a loan to launch a railroad company in 1950 and they will have to run their business all the way up to the year 2050. They will have to build their tracks and make money from the deliveries. Some routes can be lucrative at the beginning, but they must be expanded to keep the profit going. Learning new technology is also necessary for the player to continue making money and advance with the game.

Compared to Transport Tycoon, the Deluxe version has a bigger scale and contains new features such as futuristic vehicles, uni-directional signals, new varieties of landscape and weather and a better scenario editor.
In 2013, almost 20 years after the initial release, an official remake of Transport Tycoon was released for iOS and Android.
OpenTTD is an open source remake of the classic business simulation game Transport Tycoon Deluxe, with a host of improvements and extensions. The program launches with an RTS-like map, dotted with cities (click Options and choose a higher resolution if the 640x480 default doesn't work for you). Your task is to earn money by transporting passengers and cargo across your very own transport network, over land, rail, sea and air. There's plenty to learn, but the game has a lot of documentation and tutorials to point you in the right direction. OpenTTD's many improvements mean it's much easier to use than the original (drag and drop support, pathfinding for vehicles etc), and although games can have up to 256 players, that's not compulsory. You can learn by playing on your own for a while, or against a computer opponent. Please note, OpenTTD is designed to use the original Transport Tycoon Deluxe data files. If you don't have the game, download the installer - not the portable version - and during setup it will offer to download free versions of the files. This is the portable version of OpenTTD. WhatsApp Messenger is the world's most popular instant messaging app for smartphones. You can use it to send and receive text and voice messages, photos, videos, even call your friends in other countries, and because it uses your phone's internet connection it might not cost you anything at all (depending on whether you'll pay data charges). It's easy to set up and use. There's no need to create and remember new account names or pins because it works with your phone number, and uses your regular address book to find and connect you with friends who use WhatsApp already. You can talk one-to-one or in group chats, and because you're always logged in there's no way to miss messages.
Even if your phone is turned off, WhatsApp will save your messages and display them as soon as you're back online. There's plenty more (location sharing, contact exchange, message broadcasting) and the app is free for a year, currently $0.99/ year afterwards. What's New in Version 2.20.22?- New privacy settings allow you to control who can add you to groups. Admins will have the option of sending you a private invite instead. Go to Settings Account Privacy Groups to get started.- Added call waiting support so you can choose to accept an incoming WhatsApp call while you're already on another call.- You can now send messages directly from the Braille keyboard when using VoiceOver mode.- To reduce data usage, enabling your iPhone’s Low Data Mode will now disable media auto-download in WhatsApp.
